Xbox consoles now have a new Xbox 360 dynamic theme
Players who buy the 20th anniversary controller can unlock another one
Xbox has added a new dynamic theme designed to celebrate the Xbox 360.
The new theme can be found by going to the Personalisation menu in Settings, then choosing My Background then Dynamic Backgrounds.
The theme will be found right at the end of the list, and features a swirly Xbox 360 themed pattern (seen above) that slowly moves.
The background will continue to move if you set it as your home screen image.
This is the latest in a series of dynamic backgrounds Xbox has been adding in recent months. In May it added the background from the original Xbox’s frontend as a dynamic theme.
It then added another dynamic theme in July, this time based on Xbox Game Pass, followed by a Halo Infinite one in August.
Players who buy Microsoft’s limited edition 20th anniversary Xbox Series X/S controller will also unlock an exclusive 20th anniversary dynamic theme when they connect the controller to their console.
The 20th anniversary controller is the latest in a line of special edition coloured controllers Microsoft has released since the launch of the Xbox Series X and S.
In August it announced that it was releasing a special edition Forza Horizon 5 controller made of translucent bright yellow plastic. The following day, it then announced a new Halo-themed Xbox Elite Series 2 controller inspired by Master Chief’s armour.
Earlier in August it also announced the Aqua Shift Special Edition, which is available now at a price of $69.99 and comes in a special blue colour that gives off a ‘shimmering’ effect.
