Xbox console exclusive Scorn’s release date appears to have leaked
The PC version’s Steam database has been updated with a new date
The release date for Xbox console exclusive Scorn may have been leaked early.
As spotted by user KarEnTuk on the Scorn subreddit, the game’s Steam database information was recently updated.
These updates included new images, a new background for the game’s Steam page, and what appears to be a definitive release date of October 21.
This fits with developer Ebb Software’s commitment last year that the game would be released in October 2022 following a delay.
Scorn was originally supposed to be released in 2021, before Ebb announced in December that it would be held back until October 2022.
Announced during the Xbox Series X software showcase in May 2020, Scorn is inspired by the work of artists H.R. Giger (Alien) and Zdzisław Beksiński.
“Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry,” according to Belgrade, Serbia-based developer and publisher Ebb.
“It is designed around the idea of ‘being thrown into the world’. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.

“Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world,” Ebb adds. “Throughout the game you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.”
Scorn will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. 13 minutes of Xbox Series X Scorn gameplay was published in 2020, but it remains to be seen how much has changed since then.
