Watch: New gameplay footage of Black Myth: Wukong in 4K

VGC recently had the opportunity to play Black Myth: Wukong, the upcoming action RPG from Game Science.

In the video above, you can see some of the areas that VGC was able to explore during our session. Note that the footage has not been captured by VGC, and was provided by developer Game Science.

“Black Myth: Wukong combines rich storytelling with stunning visuals and a unique take on the action RPG formula,” according to the company.

“Players will explore a fascinating realm filled with the wonders and discoveries of ancient Chinese mythology, breathtaking landscapes, and a diverse cast of memorable characters based on the acclaimed novel Journey to the West.

The game will be released on August 20, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and PC. An Xbox version of the game is also in development, however, it has been delayed. 

In a statement, developer Game Science said “We are currently optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards, so it won’t release simultaneously with the other platforms.”

“We apologize for the delay and aim to minimize the wait for Xbox users. We will announce the release date as soon as it meets our quality standards.”

In addition to Standard ($59.99) and Deluxe ($69.99) digital editions, the physical version is available in Deluxe ($169) and Collector’s ($399) editions of the game.
