Watch Dogs Legion’s new playable hero and missions have been delayed to May
Update is also expected to improve an issue which sees hostile NPCs and drones continuously spawning
Ubisoft has delayed Watch Dogs Legion title update 4.0 from its previously scheduled late April release to May 4.
When it does launch, Watch Dogs Legion’s next major patch will introduce new playable hero Mina Sidhu, a transhuman who has the power of mind control.
It will also add fresh missions and assignments, and new characters including a DJ and a first responder.
The update is also expected to include the “first improvements”—although not a full fix—for an issue which results in hostile NPCs and drones continuously spawning after players enter any of the game’s online modes.
Watch Dogs Legion’s multiplayer component launched in March. It was originally scheduled to arrive as part of a free update in December 2020, but was delayed so that Ubisoft could focus on fixing issues with the single player game.
“While working on the different pieces of content, we encountered some issues that we needed to address before deploying the update,” Ubisoft said of 4.0’s delay. “We want the quality of this update to be in the best shape it can be.”
Ubisoft added: “This [delay] will allow us to continue our work on fixes for bugs that have been reported by our players via our Watch Dogs: Legion Bug Reporter, as TU 4.0 will also include more game improvements.”
The publisher launched Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update 1.2.1 today. It adds three new skills, an option to toggle the cinematic camera on/off during finisher moves, and fixes for various progression blockers, among other features.
Ubisoft recently confirmed that future Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title updates will be released less frequently in a bid to improve their quality.
