VGC’s YouTube channel premieres with Astral Chain gameplay
Switch exclusive set for release in August
Five minutes of new gameplay showing PlatinumGames’ Astral Chain has been published on VGC’s new YouTube channel.
The Nintendo Switch exclusive is set to release on August 30 and you can read more about how it’s shaping up in our Astral Chain hands-on preview.
The game puts players in the role of a rookie officer in a special police force known as Neuron. This exclusive task force, along with its living weapon companions called the Legion, is humanity’s last defence against an interdimensional alien invasion.

Players are given control over two characters at once for what Platinum calls “Synergetic Action.” Players can switch between several Legion types and skills in order to solve puzzles or traverse platforming environments.
Astral Chain is the directorial debut of NieR: Automata designer Takahisa Taura. Hideki Kamiya, director of Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, provided supervision.
