VGC is partnering with the Italian Video Game Awards next month
Watch the ceremony in English on July 5
VGC is partnering with the Italian Video Game Awards to bring the ceremony to an English-speaking audience.
The ceremony is run by the Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association (IIDEA), Italy’s video game trade association representing the national games industry, and will be streamed on the opening night of its in-person First Playable event.
The Awards ceremony, which will take place on July 5 at 6pm BST, will be available to stream in English on VGC.
The in-person First Playable event takes place in Pisa on July 5-8 and aims to “celebrate, explore and expand the Italian games industry”. The Italian Video Game Awards, which this year will be hosted by Aoife Wilson and Elle Osili-Wood, is designed to recognise the industry’s standing on the world stage and share it internationally.
The Italian Video Game Awards ceremony will see winners announced in five categories: Best Italian Game, Best Innovation, Best Italian Debut, Outstanding Italian Company and Outstanding Individual Contribution.
Viewers will also be shown examples of what the Italian video game industry has to offer, including some never-before-seen trailers.
