Vampire Survivors is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer
The game will feature four-player couch co-op
Nintendo has announced that Vampire Survivors is coming to Switch.
The game will hit Nintendo’s console on August 17, 2023, it was confirmed during a Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday.
According to the game’s announcement trailer, which is viewable below, up to four players will be able to play in couch co-op.
Vampire Survivors is a roeguelike shoot ’em up which sees players choosing one of numerous characters, who then automatically attack as the player fights through waves of monsters with the aim being to survive for as long as possible.
The title won the Best Game and Best Design prizes at the BAFTA Games Awards in March.
“Choose from several characters, each with their own starting weapon and stats, and begin mowing down hordes of enemies across a variety of Stages,” reads the description for the game’s Switch announcement trailer.
“Once players collect enough gems in-level, they can choose from a random selection of weapons, upgrades or buffs, to attempt to survive 30 minutes.
“After finishing a run, players can choose to spend Gold on more characters or permanent stats to increase their chance against surviving once more.”
