Valorant is adding a new Agent, Deathmatch mode and more this week
Riot Games announces Valorant Act II details
Valorant Act II will launch on August 4, Riot Games has confirmed.
The headline addition to Act II is new Agent Killjoy, a tech specialist who can deploy a bot that hunts down enemies and a turret that attacks opponents within its 180 degree cone.
Her ultimate ability, Lockdown, traps all enemies caught in its radius for about eight seconds.
A new battle pass costing 1,000 Valorant points ($10) will be available beginning on August 4, as well as the new Glitchpop weapon skins showcased in the video below.
And a new free for all Deathmatch mode will launch in beta mode on August 5 ahead of its permanent inclusion following a period of testing.
It will see 10 players competing to reach 30 kills or the most within a time limit. Players can buy any gun and will spawn with heavy armor following a three-second delay.
Valorant Episode 1: Ignition went live on June 2 with a launch day patch which introduced a new agent, map and mode to the tactical FPS.
Executive producer Anna Donlon said in June that Riot is exploring the possibility of bringing Valorant to consoles.
