Untitled Goose Game and Firewatch publisher Panic announces digital showcase
The company behind the Playdate handheld will reveal new games this month
Untitled Goose Game and Firewatch publisher Panic has announced its first ever digital games showcase.
The Portland, Oregon-based company, which is also behind the Playdate handheld, plans to reveal its games publishing roadmap during the Panic Games Showcase on August 29.
The roughly 20-minute video presentation will begin at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT / 6pm CEST.
In addition to new looks at previously revealed games Nour: Play With Your Food and Despelote, the showcase will feature new unannounced titles and game development partnership announcements.
Panic also confirmed there will be no Playdate news during the presentation.
“A lot of people out there know us as makers of Mac software like Transmit and Nova,” said Panic co-founder Cabel Sasser. “And some people know us as the creators of the Playdate handheld video game system. And honestly, not very many people know us as the publisher of Firewatch and Untitled Goose Game.
“We thought it’d be fun to put on a little show and let the world know about the wonderful games we’ve been working on publishing, from amazing developers all around the world. Please tune in, as we’re pretty confident you’ll find a neat game or two that speaks to you.”
