Twisted Metal TV show clip shows off Sweet Tooth

An extended clip from Peacock’s Twisted Metal TV show has shown off Sweet Tooth, who is played by Will Arnett (Arrested Development).

Viewable below, the trailer sees Sweet Tooth attacking Anthony Mackie’s (Captain America: New World Order) John Doe, an amnesiac who “talks as fast as he drives”.

Written and executive produced by Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai), Twisted Metal also stars Samoa Joe (AEW), Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3), Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Neve Campbell (Scream).

In the show, Doe has to traverse a post-apocalyptic wasteland to deliver supplies to an outpost, He’ll be aided by car thief Quiet (Beatriz), while being pursued by patrolman Agent Stone (Church).

Launching next month in the US, the show is the second TV series from PlayStation Productions, following this year’s hit The Last of Us adaptation.

It arrives ahead of a planned Twisted Metal video game reboot, which VGC exclusively reported last year is in active development at Sony’s Firesprite studio, after moving from original developer Lucid Games, according to sources.
