The wrestling title was released last week, and social media users have since reported experiencing repeated crashes when trying to play the game on the last-gen machine.
“I can’t even play Road to Elite right now at all because it keeps crashing. Also can’t edit created characters without crashes,” wrote one user.
Another added: “Trying to play it on ps4.. it started crashing after my son created a character and tried editing the moveset. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Every single match type now crashes before it starts. Terribly disappointed after waiting 3 years for this.”
Responding to the complaints, THQ Nordic wrote: “We are aware of game crashes with #AEWFightForever on PlayStation 4 and are looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience!”
VGC’s Chris Scullion wrote in our AEW game reivew: “AEW’s first game gets a lot more right than it does wrong.
“Its Story mode may be a little short and it may be lacking when it comes to customisation options, but its solid in-ring combat system, its sense of humour and its emphasis on violence make it a viable, edgier alternative to the glossy WWE 2K series.”
