The Witcher 3 Remastered has been announced

A remaster of The Witcher 3 has been announced. The free upgrade will be available next month.
The Witcher 3 Remastered will be released on September 29. The game will be released on all platforms, and for the first time on BattleNet.
Announced during Opening Night Live at Gamescom, the project makes sweeping upgrades to the 2015 RPG. The remaster will include visual upgrades, both previous expansions, and more quality-of-life fixes.

The Witcher 3 Remastered will also feature enhanced combat, enhanced traversal, and new SFX for certain powers. The in-game skill tree has also received a revamp, and transmogrification is also being added as part of the update. New combat finishers added.
Further improvements include:
- Cross-platform mod support
- Immersive Meditation
- Refined animations
- New quest tracking
- UI improvements
- Looting rework
- Refreshed motion blur
- New accessibility features
- Updated textures
- HDR improvements
- Improved menu animations
Players who bought the base version of the game will also get the free upgrade, and they will also receive both previous expansions for free.
This project won’t include the Songs of the Past expansion; however, when the expansion is released, it will be supported. Songs of the Past will launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
CD Projekt is currently working on multiple The Witcher projects, including The Witcher 4, a remake of The Witcher 1, and a multiplayer game set within The Witcher universe.
Last summer, the company debuted a The Witcher 4 tech demo, which it said was representative of what The Witcher 4 will look like on a base PS5 console, but didn’t show the game itself.
