The price and release date for the green X25 limited edition Xbox Series X and controller have been leaked
Xbox’s X25 anniversary console will reportedly cost more than a standard Series X
The release date and price of the upcoming ‘X25’ limited edition Xbox Series X console have seemingly been leaked.
Dealabs writer billbul-kun – who has been accurately leaking hardware and software information for a number of years now – has reported the release date and price for the console in Europe.
While they haven’t yet been able to definitely confirm prices in other regions like the US and UK, the European price should give some indication on what to expect – namely, a console that’s more expensive than a standard Xbox Series X.
According to the insider’s information, the console is set to release on Friday, November 27, which is also Black Friday.
The price – which includes the 1TB console with a disc drive, and a limited edition green 25th anniversary controller – will reportedly be €899.99, which billbil-kun estimates will equate to $899.99 in the US.
For comparison, the standard Xbox Series X console, which also contains 1TB of storage, a disc drive and a standard controller, costs €799.99 following Xbox‘s recent price increase, meaning the limited edition version is reportedly €100 more expensive.
Billbil-kun also shared information on the standalone X25 controller, which will also be released to celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary (and is included with the limited edition console).
The controller will reportedly be available on October 20 at a price of $79.99 / €79.99 / £74.99.
Announced in June, the X25 Limited Edition Xbox Series X will have a translucent green case, similar to the special green edition of the original Xbox console.
