The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening review appears in Famitsu
Japanese publication awards the Switch game a 35/40 review score

The first The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening review has been published in Japanese magazine Famitsu, which awarded the game a 35/40 review score.
Famitsu reviews games by taking the scores out of 10 from four separate critics and combining them. Three of its reviewers awarded the upcoming Switch exclusive 9/10, while one gave it 8/10, Gematsu reports.
The upcoming release is a remake of 1993’s top-down action-adventure Game Boy title.

“The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch is possibly Nintendo‘s cutest adventure – and it threatens to use its charm offensive to push players towards Switch Lite, the redesigned console which releases on the same day,” VGC wrote in a recent The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening preview.
We were able to play a new build of the game and adventure through a previously unseen area, its third dungeon. Check out ten minutes of our gameplay session on VGC’s recently launched YouTube channel.
A new Link amiibo figure will release alongside the game, which will also be available in a limited edition format including a physical copy of the title, a concept art book, and an exclusive Game Boy-themed SteelBook case.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening release date is September 20, 2019. It’s currently available to pre-order via Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers.
Nintendo Switch Lite is also set for release on September 20.
