Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s latest trailer takes fans on a whistle-stop tour of some of the planets they’ll get to visit in the game and shows off several means of travelling around them at speed.
Insomniac’s title is billed as an “interdimensional adventure” that uses the PS5’s SSD to rapidly transport players between different locations.
According to the game’s latest trailer (below), it features “new planets, new versions of old planets, and alternate dimension versions of old and new planets”.
Among other locations, the trailer shows off wall-running in Nefarious City, creature riding in Sargasso, and grinding a rail system in Molonoth.
Earlier this week, we reported that a subtle change in wording about Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s target platforms may have been hinting at plans to release the game for PC in the future.
While previously released Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart trailers closed with messaging that listed the game as “PlayStation exclusive” or “PlayStation 5 exclusive”, a new one released on Tuesday listed the game as “PlayStation 5 console exclusive”.
The latest ‘Planets and Exploration’ trailer once again lists the game as “PlayStation 5 exclusive”.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is scheduled for release on June 11, 2021. The standard version of the game costs $69.99 / £69.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99 / £79.99.
The latter comes with the base game plus five additional armour sets, 20 Raritanium to put towards upgrading weapons, a sticker pack to use in the franchise’s first ever photo mode, a digital artbook and a digital soundtrack.
