The Last of Us 2: Remastered listed on Naughty Dog dev’s LinkedIn
New evidence suggests Sony is remastering the PS4 blockbuster
The Last of Us 2: Remastered has been spotted on the LinkedIn profile of a Naughty Dog developer.
The developer in question is lead outsource artist Mark Pajarillo, who has been at the Sony studio since January 2021.
“Responsible for overseeing the production of all outsourced environment art assets, weapons and interactive props for two iconic titles The Last of Us: Part One and The Last of Us 2: Remastered,” reads his LinkedIn profile.
While Sony hasn’t officially announced a Last of Us Part 2 remaster, one is anticipated.
In July, The Last of Us Part 2 composer Gustavo Santaolalla seemingly let slip that an “enhanced version” of the game was in development at Naughty Dog.
Santaolalla, who also composed the original game and the franchise’s TV adaptation for HBO, mentioned that a new version of Part 2 was in the works during an interview with Blender.
During the conversation, one of the interviewers expressed his delight at playing the game and finding out that Santaolalla has a cameo in it. In the section in question, the Argentinian musician can be found playing a song with a ronroco.
According to Spanish language website Vandal, Santaolalla then revealed that a “new version” of the game was in the works in which players will be able to “make [him] play certain tracks”, before adding that he wasn’t allowed to reveal any more information.

Several reports published last year also claimed Naughty Dog was working on a director’s cut of The Last of Us Part 2, and VGC sources previously suggested that the unannounced game was nearing completion too.
The Last of Us Part 2, which was released for PS4 in June 2020, received a PS5 performance patch a year later.
