Rockstar’s anticipated Grand Theft Auto trilogy remaster is reportedly planned for release this November.
While still unannounced, the title’s release looks a sure bet after the game was rated in Korea.
On Thursday, South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee classified Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

The classification followed several reports that remasters of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were nearing completion at Rockstar Dundee, the studio formerly known as Ruffian Games until it was acquired by Take-Two in October 2020.
In August, Kotaku reported that the plan was to release the remastered games in October or November 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC, Stadia and mobile phones, although it said the PC and mobile versions could be delayed as Rockstar was prioritising the console ports.
Later that same month, reliable games industry insider Tom Henderson said he too had been informed of plans to launch the remastered trilogy, but that his sources had pointed to a release “sometime in 2022.”
Following Thursday’s classification, Kotaku sources claimed the plan has changed again, with Rockstar now intending to release the trilogy in November.
It’s unclear how closely the decision is tied into the release timing for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Grand Theft Auto V. Earlier this month, Rockstar delayed the new versions of GTA V from their previously planned November release date to March 2022.
