It appears that the first in-game screenshot of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has leaked.
VGC understands the image is authentic.
The screen seemingly confirms that the game will primarily be a first-person shooter, and shows the player firing at a giant mech.
ScriptLeaksR6 also says they’ll be “posting gameplay soon” – VGC will update this article if the footage is indeed shared.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was originally planned to release closer to James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water, which hit cinemas last December.
However, Ubisoft annonced in July 2022 that the game had been delayed, and would instead launch during the company’s fiscal year beginning in April 2023.
Although Ubisoft has yet to confirm a release date for the game, an announcement may be imminent, as ScriptLeaksR6 has also shared what they claim is a pre-order banner, offering a ‘Child of Two Worlds Pack’ containing a character cosmetic set and a weapon skin.
Frontiers of Pandora is a first person, open-world action-adventure game for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Luna. It’s in development at Massive Entertainment, the studio behind The Division franchise, in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney.
In a separate tweet, ScriptLeaksR6 has also suggested that Ubisoft+ will launch on Xbox in mid-April.
Ubisoft said back in January 2022 that the subscription service would be coming to Xbox consoles, but it has still yet to happen. It does currently offer a Ubisoft+ Classics range on PlayStation Plus for subscribers of the Extra and Premium tiers.
