Target launch months for Xbox’s first-party games coming in 2024 have seemingly been revealed.

On Tuesday, Microsoft announced plans to hold its Xbox Games Showcase and a “Redacted” Direct presentation on June 9.

According to The Verge, the Xbox showcase will include the announcement of a new Gears of War game, while the second event will reveal the next Call of Duty.

It was previously claimed that this year’s Call of Duty is a new Black Ops game set in the early 1990s during the Gulf War, with development being led by Treyarch.

June’s showcase will reportedly be used to announce release dates for Xbox’s first-party line-up for the remainder of 2024.

Bethesda is said to be targeting a September release for Starfield’s Shattered Space expansion, which was recently given a fall launch window.

Activision is reportedly planning a late October release date for Call of Duty, with Avowed and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 likely to arrive in November and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to follow in December.

Activision Blizzard titles helped drive Microsoft’s gaming division to a record third quarter, despite a significant decline in Xbox hardware sales.

During Microsoft’s earnings call last week, CEO Satya Nadella suggested Xbox is starting to reap the rewards of its increased multiplatform focus, with its games performing strongly on the PlayStation Store.
