The game launched in September with support for FSR2, the latest version of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution tech.
While a mod that added support for DLSS arrived shortly after Starfield’s release, official support for Nvidia‘s upscaling technology is now on the horizon.
Next week’s Starfield update will also include display and HDR controls for supported systems, plus other optimisations and improvements.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said last week that Starfield’s release day set a new record for most new Game Pass subscriptions in a single day.
“More than 11 million people have played the game to date,” he said. “Nearly half of hours played have been on PC, and on launch day, we set a record for the most Game Pass subscriptions added on a single day ever.”
VGC’s Starfield review called it “the ultimate Bethesda game”, saying it “takes what people loved about Fallout and Skyrim and casts it across an enormous galaxy”.
