Sony has opened registrations for the chance to buy a PS5 in the US
Company is offering a limited number of direct PS5 sales for the holiday season
US-based customers hoping to purchase a PlayStation 5 console can now register their interest directly with Sony for a chance to do so.
The company said it will be making a limited number of PS5 consoles available for customers in the US to purchase directly from PlayStation this holiday season.
Those interested in buying one can register here for an opportunity to do so. They should use an email address associated with a PlayStation Network ID and opt in to receive marketing emails.
In an FAQ, Sony said its selection process “is based on previous interests and PlayStation activities”.
If selected to buy a PS5, customers will be contacted by email with further instructions on how to do so.
Once contacted, they will have a limited amount of time to place their order before the invitation expires.
While customers based outside the US will be able to place orders if selected, products can only be shipped to US addresses.
