Sony has confirmed May 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games
GRID Legends, Chivalry 2 and Descenders will be available to subscribers next month
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced May 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games.
Confirming an earlier leak, May’s first batch of PlayStation Plus games will be GRID Legends (PS5, PS4), Chivalry 2 (PS5, PS4) and Descenders (PS4).
Subscribers will be able to claim the games from May 2 until June 6.
Essential is the entry-level PlayStation Plus membership tier, which offers subscribers access to a few ‘free’ games every month.
Players can continue to play these games even after they’re no longer available to claim at the end of the monthly period as long as they continue to subscribe to PlayStation Plus Essential (or a higher tier).
Once their membership ends, they’ll no longer be able to play these games unless they resubscribe.

April 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are Sackboy A Big Adventure (PS5, PS4), Meet Your Maker (PS5, PS4) and Tails of Iron (PS5, PS4). These titles can be claimed until May 1.
It was recently announced that Enhance’s Humanity will be released on May 16. It will be available on day one as part of May’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue line-up, which is reserved for Extra and Premium tier subscribers.
