Sonic Racing CrossWorlds’ final free DLC character for Year 1 is Amigo from Samba de Amigo
He brings the total roster up to 57, with a second season of content to come

Sega has released its latest free guest character for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
Amigo, the cheery monkey from the Samba de Amigo series, has now been added to the game as a free download for all players.
As well as the standard Amigo skin, the DLC also includes a special Amigo (Classic) skin, which has him wearing his sombrero.
The DLC also adds a new vehicle – a train called the Locomotive de Amigo – as well as special emotes and two music tracks.
As ever, players don’t have to actively find and download the DLC – Amigo will automatically be added as a new character when they next update the game.
The addition of Amigo now brings the game’s total roster of playable characters – including unlockables, pre-order bonuses and DLC – to 57.
Sega has been adding free guest characters from other Sega IP on a monthly basis. Since launch it’s added Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona, Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, NiGHTS, AiAi from Super Monkey Ball, Tangle and Whisper from the IDW Sonic comic book series, Red from Angry Birds, Goro Majima from Like a Dragon, Arle from Puyo Puyo, ‘Classic’ Sonic and Axel from Crazy Taxi.
It’s also released five DLC packs as part of its Season 1 content, with a sixth still to follow. Packs already released include characters, vehicles and tracks from Minecraft, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pac-Man, Mega Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while the sixth pack – based on the animated series Avatar – is coming in October.
Sega also confirmed during Summer Game Fest that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be getting a Year 2 pass featuring six further DLC collaborations, revealing that the first two will be based on Godzilla and Evangelion.
Its tweet stating that Amigo is “the 12th and final free character of Year One” also implies that more free characters will be coming during the second year of content.
VGC’s Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds review called the game “a great alternative to Mario Kart’s new open-world focus”, noting that Nintendo‘s decision to tweak its formula for Mario Kart World makes Sega’s offering the best option for those seeking a ‘traditional’ karting game.
