Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds adds Minecraft, Persona and Like a Dragon crossover characters
The game will feature worlds from multiple IPs

A number of guest characters have been confirmed for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.
During Summer Game Fest it was confirmed that as well as characters from the Sonic universe, the game will also include vocaloid character Hatsune Miku, Like a Dragon’s Ichiban Kasuga and Joker from the Persona series as playable characters.
Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka also took to the stage at Summer Game Fest to confirm that Steve from Minecraft will be a playable character, and that a Minecraft track will feature in the game.
Iizuka also offered a jibe at Mario Kart during the presentation, saying: “Unlike another karting game, this has online cross-platform multiplayer.”
Sega also confirmed that the game will be released on September 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
A Switch 2 version of the game has also been confirmed. This will be released at a later date, but Sega says a paid upgrade path will be available for players who buy the Switch version.
Sega released the first gameplay footage for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds in February, including portals called Travel Rings, which appear during each race and teleport the player to different environments.
“Race across land, sea, air, space, and time in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds,” Sega‘s description reads. “Warp through Travel Rings into new dimensions where something new awaits around every twist and turn.
“Speed to victory solo or as a team in a variety of offline and online modes and compete against players from around the world.
“Build the ultimate machine to match your racing style, unlock gadgets to gain the upper hand, and unleash power-up items for the win.”
