The game was revealed on Wednesday during the publisher’s Silent Hill Transmission live stream.
It’s in development at Taiwan-based Neoboards Entertainment, the studio behind Resident Evil Resistance, the asymmetrical-multiplayer survival game released in 2020, and the upcoming online game Resident Evil: Re:Verse.
A trailer for the game, which is viewable above, was used to close out Konami’s Silent Hill live stream.
The official blurb accompanying the trailer reads: “Silent Hill F – will be a completely new story set in 1960s Japan featuring a beautiful, yet horrifying world. Written by Ryūkishi07, famed for Japanese visual novels dealing with murder mysteries, psychological and supernatural horror.”
Prior to Resident Evil Resistance, NeoBards has also released games from other classic IPs including Devil May Cry HD Collection, Onimusha: Warlords Remaster and the Resident Evil Origins Collection for Switch.
Today’s Silent Hill showcase was also used to announce several other projects. Following months of speculation, Konami officially confirmed a Silent Hill 2 remake is in the works at Bloober Team.
And it announced Silent Hill: Ascension, an “interactive streaming series where the entire community shapes the canon of Silent Hill”.
