Rockstar’s LA Noire: The VR Case Files announced for PS VR

Sony has announced LA Noire: The VR Case Files for PlayStation VR.

It includes seven self-contained cases from the original LA Noire – Upon Reflection, Armed and Dangerous, Buyer Beware, The Consul’s Car, The Silk Stocking Murder, Reefer Madness, and A Different Kind of War – in addition to new boxing, speedcar racing and shooting gallery minigames.

According to the description accompanying the reveal trailer, which you can watch above, The VR Case Files also “delivers an enhanced technical experience specifically built for the PlayStation system including greater draw distance and upgraded visual fidelity; new sitting and standing modes (including a new ‘Crouch’ button for easier object inspection); enhanced navigation, locomotion and weapon tuning“.

The VR Case Files is priced at $29.99/£24.99, although LA Noire owners get a 25% discount if they purchase it through the console game’s main menu.

The Rockstar title was announced during a PlayStation State of Play live stream on Tuesday, which was also used to reveal a Last of Us Part 2 release date, among other news, and provide a look at other upcoming PlayStation VR titles, which you can see in the trailer below.
