UK retailer Game will be selling PlayStation 5 consoles and bundles online on Thursday morning.
The company didn’t specify when the consoles will go on sale, but it may provide more information closer to the time.
A few weeks ago, it made a batch of PS5s available at 10am on a Thursday morning.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: “Tomorrow morning, we will be going live with a selection of PlayStation 5 Disc & Digital consoles & bundles,” the retailer said on Wednesday.
“Due to the large amount of traffic, we operate a queuing system to make the process as smooth & fair as possible to our customers.
“If you try and order more than one console, any additional orders will be cancelled within 24 hours.
“If you’re not able to secure a console online, please contact your local GAME store to discuss your options.”
Sony claimed last month that PS5 had become its fastest selling console ever after topping 10 million sales globally.
The console reached the milestone in mid-July, about eight months after its November 2020 launch, and just under a month faster than the PS4 managed.
“While PS5 has reached more households faster than any of our previous consoles, we still have a lot of work ahead of us as demand for PS5 continues to outstrip supply,” Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said at the time.
“I want gamers to know that while we continue to face unique challenges throughout the world that affect our industry and many others, improving inventory levels remains a top priority for SIE.”
PS5 was the best-selling console of July in the UK, according to GfK data reported by GamesIndustry.biz on Wednesday.
