A limited quantity of consoles was made available at 10.30am on Thursday morning.
Upon entry to the site, users must sign in to the PlayStation Network in order to purchase a PS5 console.
UPDATE 11.03am: PS5 consoles were still available to purchase at 10.43am when we got to the front of the queue and were given the option to buy one, but they have now sold out.

In order to stand a better chance of purchasing a PS5 from PlayStation Direct, users should visit the Sony Entertainment Network, sign in to their account and choose to turn on notifications.
Sony will notify selected users when PS5 is coming back in stock and send them an invite to purchase one, although the company says it can’t guarantee everyone will get a console. In an official FAQ, Sony says “selection will be based on past activity and interest shown in PlayStation.”
PlayStation Direct UK’s previous PS5 sale event was meant to be held last Thursday but it was was cancelled due to technical issues.
Sony launched PlayStation Direct in Europe in November 2021. The company’s US arm launched PlayStation Direct to sell consoles, games and accessories direct to consumers in September 2019.
US-based consumers hoping to purchase a PS5 console can now register their interest directly with Sony for a chance to do so. The company is making a limited number of PS5 consoles available for customers in the US to purchase directly from PlayStation this holiday season.
