Pragmata is getting Mega Man skins

Pragmata is set to receive skins based on the Mega Man franchise, following months of jokes from fans about the game secretly belonging to the series.

Announced during Opening Night Live, the skins are “coming soon,” according to Capcom. The skins debuted at the end of a new trailer for Mega Man Dual Override, which reconfirmed its 2027 release date.

No further information was given on the skins, or their release date.

In the lead-up to the release of Pragmata, online fan theories noted the similarities between the design of Pragmata’s robotic girl sidekick, Diana, and Capcom’s Mega Man, as well as thematic connections, like the game taking place on a moonbase taken over by evil machines infected by a virus.

“Pragmata is not a Mega Man game,” Pragmata producer Naoto Oyama told VGC last year. “It is a completely new game from Capcom.

“I was actually one of the producers on the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection as well, so I’m happy to see that people who love Mega Man are passionate about Pragmata too. From my standpoint, it’s nice to see people are being so positive about it.”

VGC’s Pragmata review says the game feels like the type of shorter single-player adventure that was released during the Xbox 360 era, noting that this is a good thing.
