The contest, which will run throughout the summer, will offer exclusive prizes every two weeks. The contest will be judged on the following categories:
- Round 1 – Favourite Collection: entrants can show off their favourite Pokémon TCG collections
- Round 2 – Storage & Display: entrants can show off how they store and display their Pokémon TCG collections
- Round 3 –Coveted Cards: entrants can show off Pokémon TCG cards that are special to them
- Round 4 – Favourite Pokémon: entrants can show off their Pokémon TCG collections featuring their favourite Pokémon
From today, collectiors can submit photos of their collections on the Pokémon TCG Collection Contest website. Winners and runners-up in the UK, France and Germany will be announced every two weeks, starting with Round 1 on July 24.
Winners will receive Pokemon TCG-related prizes, including Elite Trainer Boxes, booster packs, accessories and more.
The Pokemon Trading Card Game launched in 1996 in Japan and has released over 100 different expansions since its debut. In August, the next main set, Scarlet and Violet – Obsidian Flames will be released, and then later in the year, Pokemon 151, a new expansion celebrating the original lineup of Pokemon, will also release.
A Pokemon Trading Card Game video game was released on the GameBoy in 1998 in Japan and worldwide in 2000. A Japan-only sequel was released a few years later.
