The Pokemon Company has confirmed the release date for the first Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC, The Teal Mask.
Announced during Pokemon Presents, the first DLC pack will be released on Wednesday, September 13. The second pack is scheduled for winter 2023, but no firm release date was given.
A new trailer for the second part of the DLC, The Indigo Disk, was also shown. Several new Pokemon, including Paradox forms of Raikou and Cobalion were shown. An evolution of Applin, named Dipplin, was also revealed.
The Indigo Disk, which will be released in winter 2023, will see the player transfer to a new school, which will feature a new open area, with several biomes. The Indigo Disk will also feature a new Elite Four.
A synopsis reads: “In this year’s annual school trip, students from various schools – including you! – will be sent to the land of Kitakami, where people live at the feet of tall, towering mountains and the tranquil landscape is teeming with nature unfamiliar to Paldea, flourishing among rice paddies and apple orchards.
“At this time of year, the villages hold festivals, bustling with all kinds of stalls and stands. Make new friends and meet new Pokémon as you unravel the old legends of Kitakami,” reads an official description for the expansion.
Players who pre-order the expansion will be provided with a new uniform set, which will differ depending on which base game they have.
As an early purchase bonus, players who buy the expansion before October 31 will receive a Hisuian Zoroark that isn’t obtainable in the Paldea region.
