The Pokémon Company has released a spoof video for April Fool’s Day, promoting a fictional Pokémon Sleep World Championship.
The comedy video shows competitors ‘playing’ Pokémon Sleep in an arena by sleeping in a bed in front of a large, cheering audience.
The company has a history of playing April Fool pranks, one of which – a 2014 collaboration with Google to place Pokémon on Google Maps – is considered the inspiration for Pokémon Go.
