PlayStation TV ad shows Joel, Ellie, Spider-Man and Kratos attending a Champions League game

A new PlayStation advert has been released, showing several PlayStation characters attending a UEFA Champions League football match.

The advert, titled Extraordinary Drama, shows Kratos and Atreus from the God of War series, Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us, Peter Parker and Miles Morales from Spider-Man 2, and Astro Bot.

Sony Interactive Entertainment is a long-standing sponsor of the Champions League and has collaborated with the organising body UEFA on various football experiences for more than two decades.

“Ellie and Joel, from The Last of Us, race down the tunnel to deliver the match ball in time for kick off,” a description for the ad reads.

“Astro boosts his way to the center circle to collect the referee’s coin toss. God of War’s Kratos and Atreus are leading fans with a mighty blow of the Gjallarhorn.

“Spider-Men Peter Parker & Miles Morales from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 come to the rescue in Marvel’s New York, saving a jumbotron during a match’s decisive moment.”

The ad follows a similar Champion’s League TV spot in 2021, which saw CGI recreations of Kratos (God of War), Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Aloy (Horizon) and Ratchet & Clank appearing inside a packed stadium.
