PlatinumGames website teases reveal on February 26

PlatinumGames’ recently launched teaser website is promoting an announcement scheduled for this Wednesday, February 26.

The Wonderful 101 Remastered occupies one of four starred sections on the Platinum4 website, which is pictured below.

And the site has recently been updated to feature ‘02.26.2020’ below the star on the top left, implying a new product announcement is imminent.

It was reported last week that Platinum will make an announcement in the February 27 issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu. It’s unclear if the reveal and the Famitsu announcement are related, but it wouldn’t be surprising given their proximity to one another.

In early February, Platinum launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to bring The Wonderful 101 to Switch, PS4 and PC.

Speaking to VGC in an interview focused on the Kickstarter campaign, Platinum studio head Atsushi Inaba didn’t rule out the possibility of Astral Chain following in the Wii U game’s footsteps by making the jump to non-Nintendo systems.

Inaba also recently said Platinum would ”love” to return to cancelled Xbox action game Scalebound if given the opportunity.

Platinum said in January it has received investment from Tencent which will see the Japanese studio remain independent while allowing it to explore self-publishing.
