Oreo will start selling Xbox cookies later this month
The limited edition cookies will feature the Xbox logo and button designs
Oreo has teamed up with Microsoft to sell limited edition Xbox Oreo cookies, it’s been announced.
The new special edition packs, which launch later this month, will be on sale in 22 countries and will feature new cookie designs.
Instead of the standard design featured on normal Oreo cookies, the limited edition ones will contain a variety of designs including the Xbox symbol, the A, B, X and Y buttons and a directional button.
Players will also be able to win prizes by “scanning the Oreo Xbox Special Edition cookies”, though it’s not yet clear how this will work.
According to a post on the official Xbox Wire blog, by scanning the cookies and “cracking exclusive cookie combinations, inspired by the cheat codes hidden in games throughout history, fans can unlock a range of prizes”.
It adds: “Entering the baked-in symbols in the correct sequence can unlock exciting, exclusive Oreo-themed in-game content, such as armor packs and vehicle skins for popular titles like Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, and Halo Infinite.
“Additionally, participants will be entered into the draw to win prizes ranging from custom Oreo hardware, Xbox consoles, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships, and a holiday experience for the whole family, subject to regional availability. ”
Oreo launched a similar tie-in with Pokémon in 2021, with cookies featuring designs of various Pokémon characters.
However, some Pokémon designs were rarer than others, with people reportedly listing cookies with Mew on them for thousands of dolloars on eBay.

This isn’t the first time Xbox has collaborated with a snack company. In the UK, it teamed up with Krispy Kreme in July 2021 and released Xbox doughnuts to celebrate 20 years of Xbox.
The pair teamed up again in June 2022 for a new range of Krispy Kreme doughnuts based on Forza Horizon 5.
