Infinity Ward has officially revealed the release date of Warzone 2.0.

The second iteration of the popular battle royale will release on November 16, which will also mark the start of season one of Modern Warfare 2.

Featuring “a new sandbox mode and the brand-new playspace”, Warzone 2.0 will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.

The stream also revealed that the Warzone 2 map is called Al Mazrah and features 18 points of interest (POI).

As first reported by VGC in September 2021, Warzone 2’s map will include various classic points of interest, including areas based on popular multiplayer maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. This has now been confirmed.

The game will also adopt all of Modern Warfare 2’s new movement and water mechanics that were revealed today.

DMZ,  a new extraction-based multiplayer mode was also finally confirmed. The mode will be included in Modern Warfare 2 and is reportedly inspired by Escape from Tarkov.
