Nintendo Direct broadcast scheduled for Wednesday, September 4
40-minute video to feature Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield
Nintendo is to hold a Nintendo Direct broadcast on Wednesday, September 4.
Kicking off at 11pm UK (3pm PT/6pm ET), the presentation will last for approximately 40 minutes and focus on Nintendo Switch titles set for release in 2019, including Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield. You can watch it live here.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 will release on Halloween, October 31, while Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will release on November 15. A limited edition Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Switch Lite console will also launch in November.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Alien: Isolation and Panzer Dragoon are also planned for release on Switch in the fourth calendar quarter of 2019.
Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct could feature Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s upcoming Banjo-Kazooie DLC too.
Adverts for the Smash Bros. Banjo-Kazooie DLC started appearing in Japanese convenience stores in early September. Nintendo has previously said the DLC will be released in autumn/fall 2019.
