Monster Hunter Rise hits PC in January 2022, but players can try a demo next month
Capcom dates the Steam version at Tokyo Game Show
The PC version of Monster Hunter Rise will be released on Steam on January 12, 2022.
The announcement was made on Thursday during publisher Capcom’s Monster Hunter stream at Tokyo Game Show.
The PC version of the game will support 4K resolution and ultrawide displays. It will also offer uncapped framerates, improved textures, and optimised keyboard and mouse controls.
A demo for the PC version will be released on October 13.
Monster Hunter Rise, which is the sixth main entry in the Monster Hunter series, released for Switch in March 2021.
It shipped five million units worldwide in its first 10 days on sale, taking lifetime franchise shipments past 70 million, according to Capcom.
Earlier this month, Capcom announced Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, a “massive expansion” for Monster Hunter Rise.
The paid DLC is due for release in the summer of 2022 and will include new stories, locales and monsters, as well as newly added hunting actions and quest rank.
