Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 gets a release date
The career-focused sequel will be released in November
The release date for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has been confirmed.
The sequel to 2020’s Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released on November 19. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will be on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
The first trailer for the game was shown a year ago, highlighting a greater emphasis on different aviation-based jobs.
Jobs confirmed for the game include:

- Aerial firefighting
- Search and rescue
- Helicopter cargo transport
- Air ambulance
- Agricultural aviation
- Mountain rescue
- Skydive aviation
- Aerial construction
- Industrial cargo transport
- Remote cargo ops
- VIP charter service
- Air racing
- Glider pilot
- Scientific research
- Experimental Flight
- Low altitude training
- Executive transport service
- Airship tour
- Hot air balloon trips
When the current Microsoft Flight Simulator was first released for PC in 2020, it attracted over one million players in its first two of weeks, making it the biggest launch in the series’ history according to Microsoft.
A Flight Simulator Top Gun expansion launched in May 2022 to tie in with the release of Top Gun: Maverick, and a Dune expansion was released in February to coincide with the release of Dune: Part Two in cinemas.
