Marvel vs Capcom fans are angry that the MvC Fighting Collection won’t be coming to Xbox
The compilation will be released on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch
Marvel vs Capcom fans have reacted angrily to news that the newly announced Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection won’t be coming to Xbox.
The collection, which was announced during Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct, will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, but not Microsoft‘s consoles.
Capcom has yet to explain why Xbox players won’t be getting the game, but fans took to social media to voice their displeasure, with the phrase ‘no Xbox’ trending across social media according to IGN.
“I was hype af until I saw there is no Xbox version, why not?” wrote user Bella_Drive. “A game like Marvel vs Capcom should be on as many platforms as possible. Previous Capcom collections have always been on Xbox too, why is this different?”
Another Capcom collection, featuring two Ace Attorney Investigation games, was also announced during the Nintendo Direct. This collection will be coming to Xbox.
VGC asked Capcom why the collection isn’t currently planned for Xbox. Capcom has yet to respond at the time of writing.
Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection will include the following six games:
- X-Men Children of the Atom
- Marvel Super Heroes
- X-Men vs. Street Fighter
- Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
- Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes
- The Punisher
“For Capcom fans, fighting game enthusiasts, comic book and Super Hero aficionados, and everyone in between, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics offers a timeless celebration of a legacy fighting game series, delivering a diverse roster of iconic characters, enhanced features, and competitive gameplay,” Capcom said.
“Relive the nostalgia or discover enduring classics for the first time, uniting fans of all generations in celebration of Capcom’s legendary fighting game series, and stay tuned for more information on the collection in the coming months.”
