The Yakuza studio is currently working on at least two new series entries
Like a Dragon developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will hold a product showcase next month.
The RGG Summit Summer 2023 will take place on June 15 at 8pm PT / 11pm ET (June 16 at 4am BST).
No further information about the showcase has been announced, with fans told to stay tuned for live stream details.
Two Like a Dragon games were announced during a Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Summit live stream in September 2022.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a spin-off which sheds light on Kiryu Kazama’s perspective following the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life leading up to Like a Dragon 8.
The action adventure game is scheduled for release in 2023 and will be about half the size of a regular series entry, RGG has said.
The next mainline game in the series, Like A Dragon 8, is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC in 2024. Starring Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga as dual protagonists, it’s a turn-based RPG sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
A remake of Like a Dragon Ishin, which was originally released for PS3 and PS4 in 2014, hit consoles and PC in February. Set during the mid-1800s, it sees players taking on the role of real-life samurai Sakamoto Ryoma.
