Like a Dragon: Gaiden won’t feature an English dub at launch
The game will be playable in Japanese with English subtitles
Like a Dragon: Gaiden will launch without an English dub.
As highlighted on Twitter by voice actor Yong Yea, the English dub of the upcoming game will be added in a post-release patch.
There currently isn’t a release date for the English language voice pack. At launch, the game will be playable only in Japanese with English subtitles.
Like a Dragon: Gaiden will be released on November 9, 2023, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. It will be available on Game Pass at launch for both console and PC.
Ryu Ga Gotoku recently announced that Like a Dragon Gaiden will include a demo of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which is coming to the same platforms in 2024.
“Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name tells the story of Kazuma Kiryu, who chose to fake his death and disappear from the public eye to protect his loved ones,” according to RGG Studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama.
“For fans who have enjoyed the series since Yakuza: Like a Dragon, this title will provide the best insight into the personality of Kazuma Kiryu. How will his story unfold as he fights against his enemies? Please enjoy the battle action and experience it for yourself.”
