Lego 2K Drive’s ‘Drive Pass’ has been detailed, with a year of content to come
Seasons won’t be time-limited, so players can beat them at their own pace
2K and Visual Concepts have published information on Lego 2K Drive‘s Drive Pass, a year of content that will be coming to the game post-launch.
The Drive Pass includes four ‘Seasons’ of content, which are to be released in June 2023, fall 2023, winter 2023 and spring 2024.
Each Season will have a Premium and Free version. The Drive Pass will also be included in the Awesome Edition and Awesome Rivals versions of the game.
According to 2K, each Season “will have new challenges and 100 levels to play through”.
It adds: “In each Season you can earn a whole host of all-new free rewards, with the free rewards changing from Season to Season. In Season 1, look forward to earning new drivers, stickers, flairs, sounds, and more. Furthermore, an all-new biome will be released within the first year.”
Crucially, 2K says Drive Pass Seasons aren’t time-limited, meaning players can complete the content at their own pace.
As with similar Battle Passes in other games, players who choose to play through the free tier of the pass and later purchase the premium tier will unlock all of the content based on their current level.
The game, which is coming to PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store later this month, is described as an open-world game which “lets players build any vehicle they like”.
As first revealed by VGC last year, the game is developed by WWE 2K and NBA 2K studio Visual Concepts as part of a new line of Lego sports games 2K has in the works.
