Konami debuts ‘first in-engine look’ at Metal Gear Solid 3’s remake

Konami has shared the first ‘in-engine look’ at Metal Gear Solid 3’s remake.

The footage debuted during an Xbox Partner Preview live stream on Wednesday and offered the first glimpse of gameplay running on Unreal Engine 5.

First revealed during a PlayStation Showcase earlier this year, ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater’ will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Konami describes the title as “a faithful remake”.  “A new generation of players and loyal fans alike can experience the origin story of the famed Big Boss, and witness how his legend was forged in the crucible of Operation Snake Eater,” it said.

Konami has confirmed that neither Hideo Kojima nor Kojima Productions is involved in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

“They are not involved,” a Konami spokesperson said earlier this year. “However, the development team will work hard to create this remake and also the ports (for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection) so that they can be enjoyed on multiple platforms by even more players all around the world.”
