It looks like Hades is coming to PlayStation consoles
Supergiant’s critically-acclaimed rogue-like has been rated for PS4
It looks like Supergiant Games’ critically-acclaimed Hades is coming to PlayStation 4.
That’s according to a rating published in South Korea, which lists the title for release on Sony’s platform, with Take Two Interactive named as a publisher.
Hades is a rogue-like dungeon crawler in which players defy the god of the dead as they hack and slash their way out of the Underworld of Greek myth.
The title recently swept the 2021 BAFTA Games Awards, picking up five prizes including the awards for Best Game, Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Narrative, and Performer in a Supporting Role for Logan Cunningham.
Currently, Hades is only available on PC and Nintendo Switch, where it released in September 2020 after more than a year in PC early access. The Switch version features cross-save support with the PC edition.
Hades developer Supergiant was named VGC’s Studio of the Year for 2020.
“Hades has laid groundwork that we hope companies follow for years to come,” wrote Jordan Middler. “It’s certainly not the first game to come from early access and be a success story, but it’s unique in the sense that there’s no caveat.
“Supergiant made a game as transparently as possible, while protecting their staff and releasing in the most difficult year for game development in recent memory.”
