Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s latest 25 minute video features Zelda gameplay and more
Breath of the Wild prequel is out next month
Nintendo has published 25 minutes of new Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity gameplay.
The footage, which was shared during a special Treehouse: Live stream on Wednesday, features the first look at gameplay featuring Zelda and Gerudo Champion, Urbosa.
Nintendo of America’s video team also showed various new features, such as the ability to change Link’s clothing and access the full Hyrule map in-between stages.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was announced last month, with a Nintendo Switch release date set for November 20.
The game features a story set 100 years before the events of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which Nintendo says will transport players “to the time before the Great Calamity happened, participating in epic battles against a backdrop of familiar locations in Hyrule before they were destroyed”.
Nintendo says the title features fast-paced action gameplay with a focus on performing combos and over-the-top special abilities, as well as environmental puzzle solving, material crafting, and unlockable weapons and skills.
