How to watch the Gamescom Opening Night Live stream
Tuesday’s show will feature over 35 games on stage
Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022 will take place on Tuesday in Cologne Germany, and it promises to deliver a host of gaming announcements.
The show will begin at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST and will be viewable live on YouTube and Twitch, including via the video embedded at the top of this page.
Show producer and host Geoff Keighley said today that the event will run for approximately two hours and “feature more than 35 games on stage – a combination of previously announced titles and new unannounced games”.
Keighley recently confirmed 11 games that are set to appear at the show including Sonic Frontiers, Hogwarts Legacy, The Callisto Protocol, The Outlast Trials, Gotham Knights, Unknown Worlds New IP, Honkai Star Rail, Goat Simulator 3, High on Life, The Expanse: Telltale Series, and Return to Monkey Island.
This year, for the first time on Opening Night Live, Keighley will be joined by a co-host from Germany, with GameStar’s Natascha Becker sharing the stage.
“We haven’t really announced the line-up of companies that will be there, but I think we’ve got some cool surprises and things that I think people wouldn’t expect to be there,” Keighley said earlier this month.
He added: “This year is a lighter year for releases that are coming out later this year, so a lot of stuff will be about what’s coming in 2023 and beyond. But yeah, I think people will be hyped and I’m very excited for fans to see stuff and be in the room.”
Gamescom 2022 is set to take place from August 24-28 and will be a hybrid event held on-site in Cologne and simultaneously online.
