Apparently killed by Gran Turismo 7, for some reason

Sony Interactive Entertainment has published a new Horizon Forbidden West story trailer.

With less than a month until the game’s release, it sets the scene for Aloy’s upcoming adventure, which sees her embark on a journey to investigate a mysterious red blight that’s killing the world of Forbidden West.

“Explore distant lands, fight bigger and more awe-inspiring machines, and encounter astonishing new tribes as you return to the far-future, post-apocalyptic world of Horizon,” reads the blurb accompanying the trailer, which is viewable below.

Developer Guerrilla Games has also released new key art and screenshots for the title featuring a number of Aloy’s returning friends, including Varl and Erend, plus new allies like Zo, Alva, and Kotallo.

The artwork shows off some of the enemies they’ll come face to face with including Regalla and her rebels.

The game was originally scheduled to launch in 2021 but following a delay, the Horizon Forbidden West release date is now set for February 18, 2022.

It will be available for PS4 and PS5, with last-gen players able to upgrade to the new-gen version free of charge.

At CES 2022 this month, Sony revealed the PlayStation VR2 specs and the hardware’s first game, Horizon Call of the Mountain.

The title is being developed by Guerrilla in partnership with new PlayStation studio Firesprite.
