A new Hogwarts Legacy patch has added an arachnophobia mode to the game as well as over 500 fixes.

Available in the game’s accessibility options, the arachnophobia mode makes spiders less intimidating by changing their appearance to give them roller skates.

It also reduces and removes spider skitters and screeches, gets rid of spider ground effect spawners, and makes static spider corpses in the world invisible.

Update

Hogwarts Legacy has topped 15 million sales and grossed over $1 billion, Warner Bros. Discovery announced on Friday.

Avalanche said collision is still active to stop players from getting stuck when using the setting and that spider images in the Field Guide remain unchanged.

The PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC update also adds support for the new Professor Ronen cosmetic set Twitch drops and includes numerous fixes.

The arrival of Hogwarts Legacy’s first major patch for almost two months coincides with the game’s release for PS4 and Xbox One today.

The open-world action RPG sold over 12 million copies and raked in $850 million in sales globally in the first two weeks following its release on February 10, making it Warner’s biggest launch ever.

Following several delays, Hogwarts Legacy will also be released for Nintendo Switch on July 25.

The game’s developer, Warner’s Avalanche Software, is currently working on “an unannounced AAA console title”, according to a job listing spotted by GameRant.
