Hideo Kojima is teasing another actor for his next title ahead of a potential Game Awards reveal
The mystery actor will star alongside Elle Fanning and Shiori Kutsuna
Hideo Kojima has begun teasing another actor set to star in his next game, ahead of a potential reveal on Thursday at The Game Awards.
On Wednesday the Kojima Productions founder posted the latest in a series of teaser images for the upcoming title, which previously revealed that Elle Fanning and Shiori Kutsuna will star in it.
The new teaser adds a third mystery face to the line-up, and fans are speculating that it could be that of Léa Seydoux, who played the character Fragile in Kojima’s most recent game, Death Stranding.
The latest image also includes the same three logos included in another teaser last week. Fans were quick to point out some similarities between those logos and the Bridges company logo featured in Death Stranding.
It’s also been speculated that the game could take place at sea, due to the nautical nature of one logo, and another seemingly depicting an ocean creature being attacked.
Several of Kojima’s social media posts this week have suggested that he’s in LA, leading to mounting speculation that he could be set to make an announcement at Thursday’s The Game Awards, the annual event created and hosted by Geoff Keighley.
Keighley, who enjoys a longstanding friendship and professional association with Kojima, was quick to react to the designer’s latest tease, which was also retweeted by The Game Awards’ official account.
It’s believed that Kojima is currently working on at least two projects. One is thought to be a game called ‘Overdose’, footage of which seemingly leaked online earlier this year.
Kojima appeared at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June to reveal that he is collaborating with Xbox to make a cloud-based game.
